* Job Context
The Cyber SecurityEngineer position will support the Spectris Asia Pacific host entities locatedin China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, India, and Australia.  This position leverages experience ininformation systems and security to contribute to the development of policiesand governance that adapt to changing threats over the long term. The CyberSecurity Engineer works closely with the Group CISO, Group InformationSecurity Architect and Group Cyber Security Specialist in the development anddelivery of architectures, solutions and standards. In addition, the CyberSecurity Engineer works with the Spectris Internal Audit teams in theassessment of potential risks and assists with tracking and remediation ofthose risks.
Thisposition will report to the IT Director of the Host Entities with a dottedline into the Spectris Group Cyber Security Director.  This role will work across the APAC regionengaging closely with local IT service providers and the Spectris China ITTeam.  Collaboration with GroupFunctions, Operating Company country leadership teams, business processowners, line-of-business managers and the wider global IT team isanticipated.

* Job Purpose Statement
Thisperson will lead the charge on improving security health and posture acrossthe Asia Pacific Spectris host group for the purposes of ensuring theconfidentiality, integrity and availability of information andresources.  Responsible for developingsecurity systems, identifying information security risks throughanalysis of threats and vulnerabilities, delivering and implementing controlrecommendations and reporting on those risks to business and technologyowners and provide assurance that information security strategies arealigned with applicable laws and regulations through adherence to internalcontrols.
This role will also support internal compliance and externalregulatory compliance programs, interpret technology (regulatory)requirements e.g. China Cyber Security Law requirements, MLPS (multi-levelprotection system) and develop and/or follow appropriate processes to keepthe organization in compliance and reduce legal liabilities across the AsiaPacific region.

 
* Key Accountabilities
· Responsible for planning,implementing, monitoring and maintaining the organization securityinfrastructure in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
· Demonstrates deep understanding ofthe tools, techniques, threat landscape, and technical controls required tomitigate a broad variety of cyber threats
· Implement and operate cyber security solutions.Accelerate security maturity and health across the Asia Pacific region in anoptimum manner.
· Deliver and maintain information security policiesacross the Asia host entities.
· Promote and monitor our corporate securityawareness program.
· Workto remediate risks including those identified by internal audit.
· Understanding and oversight of security-relatedlegal compliance, such as the evaluation and implementation of correspondingmatters of Cyber Security Law.
· Coordinate information security related work withall departments of the company.
· Identify cyber security events and incidents andfollow Spectris processes to respond, report, remediate, and recover.
· Provide awareness and guidancewithin the Company on secure business processes, architecture design, andtechnical controls.
· Maintain awareness of evolvingcybersecurity threats and best practices for mitigation.

The role of the Cyber Security Engineer is a highlytechnical role with a focus on Information & Cyber Security but also demandsbusiness insight as the candidate will coordinate and serve as the liaison ofthe regional team to implement security programs and solutions across theSpectris group in Asia.
Demonstrates deep understanding of IT system architectureand functionality.
Understandall technical components of IT security including (but not limited to)encryption, firewalls, antivirus, vulnerability management, identitymanagement, terminal management, security audit, data loss prevention,document security management and network, server, endpoint and applicationsecurity.
Familiar with the theory and practice ofinformation security, familiar with ISO27001 standard.
Understand domestic and foreign laws, regulationsand standards related to information security, such as Cyber security law,GDPR, etc.
Demonstrable understanding and experience ofcomplexities, differences in culture and working practices and effective securitymeasures in all regions of the world

Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure:
o   Databases
o   Operating systems ? Windows, Unix and Linux
o   Hypervisors
o   IP networks ? WAN and LAN
o   Storage networks ? Fibre Channel, iSCSI and NAS
o   Backup networks and media

· Major ininformation security and computer technology
· Work experience:IT operation and maintenance or development related experience, more than 5years;
· Informationsecurity related experience, more than 5 years;
· Personality traits: responsible, serious andrigorous at work, teamwork spirit, dedication, strong learning ability,strong communication and coordination ability as well as persistent, curious,perceptive, analytical, efficient, discreet, trustworthy and ethically minded
· Good Englishlistening, speaking, reading and writing. Proficient in English for businesscommunication.

 
* Additional Requirements
· Shouldbe prepared to travel throughout the Asia region and occasionally to UK/USA.
