Job Description
Purpose statement for the position above:
This position will be responsible to develop brand portfolio for the new cosmetic business unit. It will require solid expertise and experience in fragrance & cosmetic business for domestic market in order to lead to clear go-to-market strategy, encompassing all aspects of business management of sales, marketing, vertical retail, e-commerce and operations of premium foreign cosmetic brands.
A. Main tasks
1. Project management for new concept store for cosmetics ? Develop a new concept store for cosmetics and build go-to-market strategy ? Set up vertical retail channel strategy and negotiate for space/location and terms and conditions with retailers (standalone flagship store, department store, pop-up, H&B channel, and online market place and others and duty free stores as well¡¦)
2. New brand research & development ? Conduct research on potential brands & explore new categories to enrich and enlarge current brand portfolio ? Attend relevant cosmetic exhibitions ? Visit local and overseas markets on a regular basis to be aware of latest market trends ? Brand assessment and feasibility studies on identified potential brands ? Preliminary negotiations for feasibility studies and business proposal with target brands ? Initiate contacts and new business contact point & communication
3. Business plan & development ? Build up business plan for potential business and communicate/secure internal approval ? Identify potential location with the analysis of potential market & profitability, generate ? Realistic sales forecasts and expected P&L and set up achievable roll out plan, opening ? Generate business proposals / presentation materials ? Negotiations for terms & conditions, contract and preliminaries of launching / take-over ? Generate preliminary sales deck of contracted brands for Retail team
4. People management ? Drive & motivate team members ? Provide coaching & support team members¡¯ career development ? Communicate vision, direction & strategy to team members

B. Key competencies for the position
? Entrepreneurial and strategic business developer ? Organised, resourceful, efficient in marshalling multiple resources to accomplish tasks ? Market Insight of brands and key retail channels ? Adequate knowledge on retail management of consumer goods ? Ability to analyse and define business opportunity & creativity for retail business ? Knowledge of global retail industry (brands / trends / market evolution) and Korea cosmetic industry.
C. Profiles preferred and skills required
? Proven sales record, at least 10+ years of work experience in the prestige fragrance & cosmetic industries. ? Strong retail experience - vertical retail channel (standalone boutique, department stores, H&B stores and wholesales), practices, operations and procedures ? Excellence in negotiation, presentation and communication skills with international brand HQ and local counterparts. ? Work planning skills ? Financial acumen and analytical ability ? Fluent in English and Korean
